TPS Students Dress To Impress
Today, each Year 11 student at The Petersfield School was given the opportunity to be interviewed by individuals from the local business community, parents, TPS Governors and Further Education College representatives. The aim of the day was to show students how they presented at an interview in preparation for the world of work, and they could opt to wear smart interview clothes or their uniform. Following the interview, students were given feedback on areas such as the presentation of their CV, their appearance, body language and overall impression.
Every student who took part agreed that it was a very valuable experience, allowing them to practise their interview skills and gain insight into what a good CV should look like before leaving school and attempting to find employment.
The professionals who helped out on the day complimented students on their polite manners and confidence. Careers Co-ordinator, Kit Curtis-Raleigh said, “It was an invaluable experience for the students and we are very grateful to everyone who gave up their time to help”
