Despite some intermittent rain, Thursday’s Year 11 Prom was a resounding success.

There were some stunning dresses and sharp suits on show as students arrived at The Tithe Barn in Ditcham in the usual variety of vehicles, ranging from ice cream vans, tractors, scooters and some fabulous sports cars and limousines.

A string quartet played as the students “walked the red carpet” to the applause of the waiting crowd of proud parents, friends and photographers. Once inside the Barn, students enjoyed a hog roast buffet, followed by “Oscars” awarded in various categories such as Best Couple, Most Hench etc, before everyone took to the dance floor to enjoy the band - The Super Notes.

Principal, Mark Marande, said, “This Prom was a brilliant celebration of 5 years at TPS and a great send off for a year group that has worked so hard in their recent GCSE exams. Everyone had a great time and the students will have made some lovely memories.”
