Year 10 students Lydia Morris, Hannah Hastings, Kate Kendall Weiss and Amenie Curd’s work was entered into the Royal Society of British Artists National Students Exhibition. This is a hugely competitive exhibition where the standard of work is very high.
Hannah, Kate and Amenie received Highly Commended certificates for the quality of their paintings whilst Lydia’s work was chosen to be on display in the exhibition at the Mall Galleries near Buckingham Palace! Lydia’s painting is a small canvas of a loft space and rafters with heavily textured acrylic paint, entitled “Lost”. The private view of the exhibition is today and Lydia is attending.
Head of Visual Arts, Gary Leeson, said, “ It is an amazing accolade for these students and fantastic that Lydia has been entered into the show. These are very talented artists of the future!”
