Dylan On Track For Karting Success

Year 8 student, Dylan Brierley, started karting 7 years ago and has been competing in the BirelART UK series this year.

The series is run over 8 rounds all over the UK and Dylan has been competing in this series in the cadets (7-12 years) for the last two seasons.

At this weekend’s season finale in Daventry, Dylan qualified 6th in Heat 1 and in the Pre Final, and finished 9th in the Final. Whilst not yet a championship front runner, he has made good progress this year and as he heads into his last season in the cadets in 2018, he is hopeful that he can make some podium appearances.

Dylan practises at kart clubs in Camberley and Barton Stacy, and has also been able to put his karting experience to good use as a member of the Greenpower team.

He says, “Next year should be even better. The season starts with a shake down practice in February and then the real racing starts in March. I am hoping to take karting further in the future. I would like to fund my sport and my driving by setting up some sort of business when I'm older.”
