Earthquake-Proof Challenge

Key Stage 3 Ignite students really rose to the challenge set by the Geography department on Friday afternoon:

9 teams were tasked with designing and building an earthquake-proof building with the best features within an hour, using materials given to them by Mr Ley.

There were some fine examples of engineering, including one structure with a hidden pendulum arrangement within.  The winning team was Katarina Jooste, Rosie Brotherton, Sophie Rogers and Esther Neve.  Well done to all of them!
