First Ever TPS Poetry Slam
To celebrate World Poetry Day on 21 March, students performed poems on the themes of diversity, freedom, peace and equality.
The students had written the poems themselves in English lessons and performed them with passion on issues such as Brexit, the gender pay gap, homelessness and mental health. All the performances were of a high quality and were a pleasure to listen to. It is not easy to perform something as personal as a poem in front of your peers, and everyone who took part should feel very proud of themselves. Well done!
The winners were: Chloe Stone, Millie Smith and Phoebe Vernon-Smith.
Joint second place: Chloe Bull and Jess Minton.
