The evening sun shone as the TPS Class of 2018 arrived at the biggest Prom ever at the beautiful Tithe Barn at Ditcham last night.
The students arrived in a wide range of vehicles including vintage Rolls Royces and E-Type Jaguars, ultra-modern Teslas, a fire engine, a “funbulance”, plumed horses and carriage and a fleet of moped outriders. Some resourceful students created their own transport - cardboard Thomas the Tank Engines, whilst others opted to arrive on spacehoppers! They walked around the bunting-festooned red carpet to enthusiastic applause from a capacity crowd of parents and family, posed for photographs, and then entered the Tithe Barn.
After a hog roast sit down meal, there were short speeches from the Principal, Mark Marande, and Head of Year 11, Ricardo Ramshaw, followed by amusing “Oscars” for Best Hair, Best Couple, Best Leadership etc. Then the students danced the night away to the sounds of The Supernotes - a band which included a former TPS music teacher.
It was the perfect conclusion to their final year at TPS as the students look forward to a summer break before those all-important GCSE results!
