Max Creates A Buzz At National Spelling Bee Final
Last Friday, Year 7 student Max Halder attended the National Finals of the Foreign Language Spelling Bee competition, which took place at the University of Cambridge.
28,684 students had started the competition back in September and 100 students made it through to the National Finals. Max had just one minute to translate and spell in German as many words as possible. The competition was extremely fierce but Max performed exceptionally well. He survived a double tie-breaker in the very final round of the competition and emerged second overall. Very well done, Max, you were a wonderful ambassador for TPS and we are extremely proud of you!
