TPS Appeal Trust

There's no doubt that TPS is doing well as a school and pupils who attend here benefit greatly. The facilities and opportunities available to pupils are equal to, or better than, many schools - both in the public and private sectors.

The Petersfield School Appeal Trust is our only way of fundraising directly from parents. Without it, we would not be able to provide your children with the best equipment, resources or opportunities. TPS children would miss out.

At the moment, only 15% of the school population makes regular contributions to the Appeal Trust, yet 100% of the children benefit.

Please make a contribution - either via regular payments or just a one-off payment of £10-£20 at the start of each year would help.

Families can make a monthly donation on a Gift Aid basis by Bankers Order. Even 50p per week from every family in the school would give the Trust an annual income of over £30,000. Because it's Gift Aid, the Appeal Trust is able to recover the income tax you have already paid on your donation. In other words, the government 'gives' us over £1 for every £4 that you give us.

So - what happens to the money we raise?

Most crucially the Appeal Trust has donated £30,000 sponsorship money for Specialist Status - helping us to complete the Studio@TPS.

Who decides where the money goes?

You do!

The Appeal Trust has a committee that meets once a term and it includes current and past parents, plus teachers. Decisions are made by this committee.
