Year 7 students at The Petersfield School welcomed a group
of student ambassadors from the University of Portsmouth to spend the day
learning about a range of different cultures.
The University students held workshops and activities
including Bulgarian and flamenco dancing, Nigerian and German Shrove Tuesday
hat-making, Latin American jewellery-making, Indian henna pattern-making,
Polish True or False quizzes, and even Welsh language sessions!
Languages teacher, Mrs Caroline Walters, said, "The day was
a great success. All the students really
enjoyed themselves and got involved in as many activities as possible. It gave them a valuable insight into the
language and culture of several countries.”
