Clarification of Uniform Rules

I would like to refer parents to our rules on Uniform which can be found on page 21 of the Student Planner.  We are reinforcing these rules and any student who is not in proper uniform will be asked to sort this out immediately and, if this is not possible, they will be asked to go home, sort out their uniform and return to school, as per the Department for Children, Schools & Families (DCSF) guidelines.

If travel issues mean that it is not possible for the student to go home, they will be able to study in the Learning Resource Centre for the day and will be expected to have their uniform sorted out for the following day.

During the cold weather, coats, scarves and hats are permitted OUTSIDE the school buildings during Break and Lunchtime but must be removed INSIDE school buildings during the school day.

Hoodies, cardigans, legwarmers etc are NOT part of the uniform and are NOT allowed.
