On 22 February, Mr Curtis-Raleigh took a group of Drama students to Alton College to get a quick taster of what students may be doing in the future…
Mr Kevin Davies showed the small group around the Berkoff Building, showing the group the different classrooms and practice rooms.
Mr Davies showed the group photos of previous performances such as "Seasons Greetings” which was shown just before the Christmas holidays. We were also allowed to look at the dance facilities in the building, and how the class develop their final ideas into a group performance.
We were given small booklets telling us the layout of the course and what we would be doing in only a couple of years. These booklets told us important dates and the topics we would study.
We had the privilege of seeing the back of the studio, and the technical parts of the studio. Luckily we had the mind of Mr Curtis telling us about the different types of lights and how they work. Overall it was a great trip.
