Movember at TPS

Year 7 students at The Petersfield School donned fake moustaches for their Science lesson this week.

PGCE Student Teacher, Paul Roberts, was teaching them about reproduction, sexual health and in particular men’s health. He showed them a video about the "Movember” initiative which raises awareness and funds for men’s testicular cancer. As part of the fund-raising, men seek sponsorship to grow a moustache in November, and several male members of staff are taking part.

Paul Roberts said, "The students learned a lot about a very important and often overlooked illness in a fun yet informative way.”
