After Record-Breaking GCSE Results, A Record-Breaking Open Morning!
A changeable weather forecast last Saturday did not deter an unprecedented number of families from visiting TPS for our annual Open Morning!
Principal Mark Marande, supported by the Head Boy and Head Girl Oscar Hares and Elizabeth Church, and Year 8 students Max Halder and Francesca Cox, addressed a packed school hall 3 times over the course of the morning, and over 600 students - nearly half the student population - gave up their Saturday morning to show why TPS is the school of choice for so many families in East Hampshire.
There was so much to see: a multitude of hands-on experiments to try in Science; a chance to drive our latest Greenpower kit car; a CSI History mystery to solve; a taste of Performing Arts in the Studio where live rehearsals were underway for our next Rock Challenge performance; parade drills by our student CCF contingent; live music performances in our band stand; ponies to pet, showcasing our Horse Riding Club, and much more.
Mr Marande said, “It is a wonderful morning to showcase what makes TPS so special and share with families our “school with a heart” ethos. Our students are our best ambassadors, and we received countless compliments on their confidence and courtesy. I look forward to welcoming new families into our vibrant community.”
