First Training Walk for Duke of Edinburgh Award
This weekend, Year 10 students took part in their first training walk towards their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition which will be taking place during the summer term.
The training exercise involved various routes between school and Queen Elizabeth Country Park, putting into practice their map-reading and navigational skills learnt in their training at school.
Practice expeditions will take place at the end of April and will involve two days of hiking with an overnight stay at the Sustainability Centre. Well done to all those involved!
