A Leg Wax for Football for Cancer
Today’s the day when Year 10 Progress Leader, Mr Alvarez, had his legs waxed to raise funds for Football for Cancer (FFC).
Students gathered in the Sports Hall at lunchtime to watch, and many paid £1 for the privilege of whipping off a wax strip!
The money from this was added to the amount raised from online sponsorship by staff and parents, other generous donations including Year 9 Zac Cooksey raising £50 himself by sponsored running at the weekends, and the total amount was an impressive £350!
TPS families had also donated unwanted sports equipment for the Football for Cancer shop, and so Ben Brown of FFC came to collect it all and was presented with the cheque.
Thank you to everyone who supported this worthwhile charity!
