Violinist Samantha is a Credit to the School
Samantha Dale, a Year 10 student, is a talented Grade 7 violinist and pianist who plays for the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra.
The Orchestra’s musicians have been highly complimented by the Director, Carl Clausen, who said, “Hampshire County Youth Orchestra spends a week over Easter at their residential music course which is then followed by a concert at the Anvil in Basingstoke. During this time they work intensely on hugely challenging music which this year included Vaughan Williams’ Tallis Fantasia and Shostakovich’s 10th Symphony. I just wanted to tell you that your students are a credit to your school. They have brought with them a really positive attitude, have worked hard and achieved a truly professional standard of playing.”
