Summer Primary Music Festival at TPS

Yesterday the Music department hosted the annual Summer Music Festival for our local primary schools.

Children from Petersfield Infants, Sheet, Steep and Langrish schools all came along and sang their hearts out on a sunny afternoon.  A selection of TPS musicians performed to the children including Oliver Patient who sang 2 acoustic songs, Francesca Cox performed a solo song she has written herself, our new TPS A Capella group - Samantha Dale, Amira Darbin, Neva Weyland-Pratt, Larissa Brown and Natasha Dunhill - sang ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ and our Year 8 band - Max Halder, Matthew James, Sam Burchett, Ossian Watt-Smith, Finlay Wood, Victor Adynec and Charlie Weller performed 2 songs - ‘Baggy Trousers’ and ‘Mr Blue Sky’.

This was followed by a big finale of all the children singing ‘Happy” together with the band.

Samantha Wood, TPS Head of Music, said, “It was a lovely event and so nice to see our local primary children singing and making music together, and being inspired by our TPS musicians.”
