A Large Cheque from Shell's #BrightIdeasChallenge
As South East Regional Winners and Tomorrow’s Engineers Winner, the STEM team of Year 8 students – Max Halder, Victor Adynec and Oscar Harley had already won £3,000 to fund STEM at TPS, and they then reached the Top 5 of Shell Bright Ideas National Finalists, garnering a further £1,000.
Their idea is to develop the kinetic tile by Pavegen to harness energy from trains.
Today, the team met the Town Mayor, Cllr Lesley Farrow, when she presented them with a huge cheque for £4,000 from Shell’s #BrightIdeasChallenge, and was keen to hear more from the boys about their next ideas to make our planet more sustainable.
