Extreme Adventurer & TV Stuntman visits TPS
Scott Heffield, Bear Grylls’ ‘right hand man’, gave an inspiring talk after school today about resilience and the survival mindset.
A former Royal Marine Commando, Scott is tough as nails! A mountaineer, diver, climber, canoeist, paraglider pilot and all-round adventurer, he’s run expeditions all over the world and in some of the most hostile environments on the planet. From the jungles of Sumatra to the icy landscape of Antarctica, he has done it all. He’s a true survival expert!
He is a member of the Bear Grylls Safety Team on TV shows such as Man V Wild for Discovery, Running Wild for NBC, Mission Survive for ITV, Absolute Wild for Discovery, Bears Mission With ITV, A Touch of The Wild Facebook Watch, You V Wild Netflicks and Survival School for CITV.
He shared with the students what it’s been like filming in extreme locations with celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Julia Roberts, Channing Tatum, Courtney Cox, Kate Winslet and even the former President of the United States, Barack Obama!
He also had students on stage with him to eat dried dung beatles and scorpions!
Thank you Scott for visiting us and sharing your incredible career.
