Former TPS student Anna McNamara is leading Village Aid's charity appeal to raise £10,000 by 8 December for a project enabling women in rural Senegal to develop sustainable farming businesses to support their families.

Anna originally formed an interest in international development following a group trip to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, organised by former teachers Miss Stevens and Mr Callaghan in 1997. She has gone on to work for international charities, and is now Village Aid's UK-based fundraising representative.

The charity has launched a Big Give Challenge project in the run up to Christmas, and every donation will be matched pound for pound for one week only (1-8 December).
