Year 8 student Charlotte Living has come up with a brilliant Christmas initiative with her younger sister Jessica.
During lockdown, Charlotte and her family started caring for a 96 year-old gentleman in their village as he had no family in Hampshire. They have continued to look after him and do his shopping, but Charlotte wanted to do more.
She came up with the idea of Clanfield Christmas Cheer, where a gift and homemade card is given to residents who have been isolated this year and who will be alone at Christmas.
More than 100 people have been nominated to receive a gift, and many people have donated. To date over £165 has been raised via the Facebook fundraising page and 50 presents have been collected, ready for distribution.
Well done, Charlotte. You are a credit to your family and to our school.
