Young Writers Winners
Year 9 student Emily Bentley and Sophie Freemantle from Year 10 were encouraged by AMA Co-ordinator Miss Everest to enter a Young Writers competition.
Entrants were asked to submit a 100-word story around the theme of “trapped”, and were given a choice of sentence starters.
There were 16,000 entries from across the country, and just 100 have been selected to be published in a book due out in February – including both Emily’s and Sophie’s stories!
Miss Everest said, “I am overjoyed to have such talented writers here at TPS. It is a real achievement to have two winning entries out of 16,000 from one school!”
