Feature Film Release for Jessica
Year 7 student Jessica Venn already has an impressive acting portfolio. Her latest feature film, “The Heiress” (starring Candis Negaard from “Grantchester” and “Call the Midwife”) and Jayne Wisener (“Sweeney Todd”, “Jane Eyre” and “The Inbetweeners”) was released this week, and is available on all digital platforms, including iTunes, Amazon and Sky Box Office. Jessica plays the role of young Abigail, and her part is seen in flashbacks.
Jessica explained, “I spent a lot of the summer of 2018 filming on location which was fantastic; the cast and crew were really friendly. Then it went into post- production and was delayed by the pandemic, so is just being released now.”
Because “The Heiress” is a supernatural thriller and rated 15, Jessica has not been able to watch the film, apart from the trailer, and she said, “I’ll have to wait another 3.5 years before I can watch it!”
Jessica added, “I started dancing and acting from a young age. Initially, I attended Acting Up Drama School and then at the age of 7, was invited to join Sylvia Young Theatre School on a part-time basis (Thursdays and Saturdays). After a few years, I transferred to Guildford School of Acting and Timestep Dance Academy, which keep me very busy to this day.”
Jessica was also lucky enough to interview both David Walliams and Hugh Bonneville as part of World Book Day via Zoom!
