Year 7 Ida E started gymnastics when she was 3, and since the age of 5 she has been a member of Portsmouth Gymnastics Club, now attending 4 times a week.
Her dedication is really paying off – at a recent national competition in Southampton, Ida competed on the beam, floor, vault, bars and R&C (range & conditioning), and came 4th out of 28.
This means she has qualified for the national finals on 20 May in Stoke on Trent!
Ida said, “I do gymnastics for the sheer enjoyment of it, but it would be great to get to Challenge level and then into Team GB!”
