Rock got no reason, Rock got no rhyme… A huge well done to the talented student cast and crew, and thank you to our dedicated staff who brought our latest musical to the stage in February. They all contributed a considerable amount of time and energy to a #teamTPS production to be proud of.
Mr Fisher, Head of Performing Arts commented:
“I am so proud of everyone involved that the four shows have been a success with our audience after what has been a long but very exciting journey for students. We held auditions before the summer break last year, then since September they have been committed to three rehearsals a week, with an extra rehearsal for the band. It has been a HUGE amount of work for the cast and crew. Over 350 students originally expressed an interest; 100 students have since been involved and this includes all the music and tech provision.
TPS is known as the ‘performing school’ and we have continued that tradition. Students from across the school, from Year 7 to Year 11 are involved, some of whom will be continuing to study performing arts at our Bohunt 6th Form. It’s a joy to see a wealth of upcoming talent across the school and see all students really enjoy the experience. Our joint-leads Ollie and Molly in the role of Dewey really did a great job appearing on stage throughout every scene.”
This will be an all-school ensemble to remember!
