R.E. Trip to London

As part of their learning experience in Religious Education, Year 8 students went to London yesterday to visit St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, and the information they learnt will benefit their upcoming unit on Christianity.

The students soaked up the historic and religious information and asked lots of relevant questions. Both venues, although major tourist destinations, are still places of Christian worship and all students were very respectful of this.

Humanities teacher, Amanda Marshall, said, “One of the favourite activities on the trip was encouraging the staff to climb the 528 steps to the top of St Paul’s Dome!  But it was worth it for the spectacular view of our capital city.  A massive thank you to the students who attended – they were a credit to the school!”
