Year 7 student Jessica Venn already has an impressive acting portfolio. Her latest feature film, “The Heiress” (starring Candis Negaard from “Grantchester” and “Call the Midwife”) and Jayne Wisener (“Sweeney Todd”, “Jane Eyre”, “The Inbetweeners”) was released this week, and is available on all digital platforms, including iTunes, Amazon and Sky Box Office. Jessica plays the role of young Abigail, and her part is seen in flashbacks.
Jessica explained, “I spent a lot of the summer of 2018 filming on location which was fantastic and the cast were really nice. Then it went into post production and was delayed by the pandemic, so is just being released now.”
Because “The Heiress” is a horror film and rated 15, Jessica has not been able to see the entire film, apart from the trailer, and she said, “I’ll have to wait another 3 years before I can watch it!”
Jessica added, “I started dancing and acting from a young age and at weekends I attend both the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London and the Guildford School of Acting, which keeps me busy.”
Jessica was also lucky enough to interview both David Walliams and Hugh Bonneville as part of World Book Day via Zoom!
