Hannah and George Keogh – Year 10 and Year 7 respectively – entered the Dance World Cup in Telford and came back festooned with medals!
The international performing arts event attracted competitors from more than 50 countries, and despite the Covid restrictions which meant some had to compete remotely online, there were performers from South Africa, Ukraine and Hong Kong.
Hannah won 2 silver medals for a National trio and Russian group, and 5 bronze medals for a tap duet, 2 national groups, a modern group and a tap group.
George won 2 gold medals for a dance group and tap group, 2 silver medals for a Russian group and tap group, and one bronze medal for a singing group.
The talented siblings attend the Time Step Academy of Dance in Portsmouth 3 or 4 times per week, and are studying for ISTD grade exams – Hannah is Intermediate and Inter Foundation, and George is Grade 4. They both have ambitions for a career in Dance – Hannah wants to dance on cruise ships or work for Disney, and George wants to get into the West End musical theatre.
