Over the last couple of weeks, our Mandarin Excellence Programme students have been celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. They learned about the surprising myths behind this festival including the belief that a rabbit lives on the moon.
Our Year 9 students were invited to St John’s College, where they enjoyed a delicious homemade traditional meal and watched a fantastic short play based on Chinese legends. Our Year 7 and 8 students made decorations for the event and sampled traditional noodles during their lesson.
They are now looking forward to their movie night in October to find out more about the small rabbit on the moon!
