Last weekend, Year 10 Alana C went to London to enter the British Arts Awards, an international singing, dance and drama competition. Alana performed a group modern dance with fellow members of Haslemere Performing Arts & Dance School, and also sang “In My Dreams” from Anastasia The Musical, where she came first!
Alana has been dancing since the age of 3, and started singing lessons when she was 6, and has always participated in school performing arts events.
Head of Music Samantha Wood said, “Alana is an excellent, committed student and has a passion and talent for the performing arts. Not only does she sing, plays the flute and the piano, but she is a talented performer who took to the stage in our recent show TPS@TheWest End. Congratulations, Alana!”
