Our last Key Stage 3 Ignite session was jam-packed with excitement from our Year 7 and 8 students, all participating in a challenge set by Science and STEM: investigating using Scientific methods (thinking like scientists) to work out the mathematical formula for answering a problem.
Despite the heat, the students were able to rise to the challenge and work collaboratively in their groups to solve the problem – all finishing with a delicious ice lolly treat to cool them down!
Our newly appointed Year 10 senior prefects John H and Isabelle A were on hand to help the students, as well as Year 10 Martha S too, providing excellent support and advice to the students when they needed it.
A huge thank you to Miss Miles and Mr Styllis for creating the challenge and running the session.
AMA Coordinator, Miss Everest, said, “We’ve loved seeing so many students participating in our Ignite sessions over the year, and we encourage students to look out for the sessions starting up again in September.”
