AMA/Ignite gets off to a buoyant start

Last Friday was the first Science and STEM AMA/Ignite session, run by Mr Styllis and Miss Miles.  The aim was to get a bijou tube to remain buoyant without touching the surface or the bottom of the beaker.

All of the students achieved this and were also able to explain how and why this was possible.

Mr Styllis then finished off the session with a demonstration of the Cartesian diver.

A big thank you goes out to Mr Styllis and Miss Miles for running the session, along with congratulations to Izzy, Mia, Alexa and Mert for becoming Ignite Mentors!

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Spellathon next month!
