Well done to both our KS3 boys and girls Badminton teams who recently competed in the Hampshire Schools County Finals.
The boys were up first in the morning and qualified 2nd in their group, making it to the plate final where they finished 3rd! This was a fantastic achievement as the standard was extremely high – our boys even managed to gain points against England’s no1 ranked player!
In the afternoon our girls team also put up a great performance, also qualifying 2nd in the group and making it to the plate finals. Unfortunately they just missed out on 3rd place even after an extremely close game in the final match, which went to 20-20 and then lost 20-21 . Again the girls were up against an England No 1 ranked player who competes internationally.
A fantastic achievement from both teams – well done!
