Last night, the Year 9 CCF Cadets participated in Exercise NIGHT OWL.
This was their first overnight exercise where they learnt to establish a patrol harbour, construct shelters and cook army rations. They also took part in a night time reconnaissance patrol to gather intelligence on enemy movements in the area as part of a tactical scenario.
The Cadets had a great time, though very little sleep, and enjoyed beating Churcher’s College Cadets in the mini competition that was run over the course of the exercise.
