This week our Year 10 Cadets, Will D, Oscar M, Oscar S and George P, have been on their CCF Summer Camp at Crowborough Camp in Kent.
The week-long camp, run by the Army for cadets from all over the South East, started with an Adventurous Training day where the boys enjoyed paddle-boarding, rafting, mountain-biking, archery and climbing. They then participated in three days of military activities, including blank fire attacks, room clearance drills, fire-lighting, axe throwing, clay target shooting, assault course, paintballing, team building activities and more, including a night out in the field eating cooking their own rations.
The final day was a competition day where our cadets joined cadets from Reddam House School to compete against the other schools on all the new skills that they had learnt throughout the week, with our cadets winning medals in the paintball target shooting competition and Navy gun run.
OIC CCF Rob Newton said, “The boys have worked hard, performed well, made new friends and been fantastic representatives of TPS and our CCF throughout.”
