Former TPS student Alice Page showed focus and determination in her bid to follow her career path. After leaving TPS she studied A Levels at Havant College and began volunteering in the A&E department of St Richards Hospital in Chichester, followed by summer work as a healthcare assistant.
Alice went on to study Midwifery at the University of Surrey, and throughout her degree she combined academic work with a placement at Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, and also continued to work as a healthcare assistant at St Richards.
Alice completed her degree last August, graduating with a 2:1 and having delivered 41 babies personally (including a TPS member of staff’s!)and cared for hundreds of families.
She started her job as a Registered Midwife at Frimley Park Hospital in October , working on the labour ward caring for women who are in labour or need 1-to-1 care.
Alice said, “Since starting my job I have delivered lots of babies, been to theatre with Caesarean sections, taught students and recently I delivered my first twin!”
