Year 7 Lara Taylor decided to hold a cake sale with her friends to raise money for the British Red Cross, having been inspired by her mum who had completed half marathons and held cake sales for 3 different charities.
The girls spent Friday breaktime before half term selling a lovely variety of cakes for the very reasonable price of 50p, and managed to raise an impressive £133.50! In fact, they ran out of cakes!
Lara said, “I would like to thank everyone who came and bought a cake – I hope you enjoyed them, because your money is going to an amazing cause!”
