Last summer, three members of staff took part in the sponsored ‘Walk for Peace’ at Hogmoor Inclosure. The event was organised by a partnership between East Hampshire District Council, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elder Association and the Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust, and was started off by our local MP Damian Hinds. In total 16 local charities took part and in December claimed their share of the £20,000 raised.
It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm, and a lovely event to bring the community together. The event finished off with a delicious home-made curry and rice that was given to every person who took part – it was very welcome!
The money we raised for TPS will be put towards our solar panels, therefore saving both money and carbon, and helping to make the local community cleaner and greener for all.
