This morning we said goodbye to the Class of 2021 in a special Year 11 bubble assembly in the Sports Hall.
Head Boy and Head Girl, Joe Chinnock and Lilly Barnes, welcomed everyone and reflected on their 5 years at TPS, and then Deputies Zach Cooksey and Lily Street-Woodward presented awards voted by the year group for such random categories as Best Hair, Most Likely to Be Prime Minister, Best Couple etc.
Mr Marande addressed the year group, reflecting on the fact that they were his first Year 7 cohort when he joined in 2016, and urged them to keep in touch with us. He also announced the winner of the Teacher of the Year award voted by the year group. Mrs Farrington was in third place; Mr Ley a very close second, and Mr Styllis was the winner. The assembly closed with the traditional selfie!
Afterwards, the students gathered outside to enjoy ice creams and say goodbye to their peers and members of staff.
We look forward to seeing everyone again on GCSE Results Day on 12 August, and wish them every success for the future.
