It may come as a surprise to fellow students that Year 11 Mia Dudley has landed the lead role of Sandy in the Stage One Theatre Group’s production of “Grease” at the New Theatre Royal Portsmouth from 24-26 February, as few are aware of her performing arts skills outside school.
Modest Mia originally auditioned for a smaller role and then was offered the lead! She said, “I was amazed and thrilled to land the part of Sandy! I was in the school production of “Oliver” a few years ago, but only two of my closest friends at school know that I’m involved with the Theatre Group, so I expect others will be really surprised!”

Dance teacher, Amanda Jones, said, “Mia has always been quite shy about her achievements, but after nearly 5 years she’s finally decided to share with her peers, and we are very proud of her in Performing Arts.”
