We are proud to announce another Green Flag Award for TPS, and this time with Distinction, thanks to our lovely Eco Committee!
All year we have been working hard to deliver eco projects around the school including No Mow May, local community tree planting, recycling campaigns, litter picks, biodiversity surveys, monitoring and reduction of our energy.
Working in three areas this year (Energy, Biodiversity and Litter) has enabled us to focus on particular projects with specific outcomes and objectives, that really help to empower our students and monitor exactly how much difference they are making.
The feedback noted that our application was “punchy and really creative, setting out tangible and accessible calls to action your whole school can get behind”.
A special mention goes to our outgoing Year 11 Eco Prefects, Eliza K and Grace C, but the whole Eco Committee should be extremely proud of their dedication and commitment to making TPS more sustainable.
