Year 7 Jacob Cook was thrilled to be selected to train with Hampshire’s development centre as a hockey goalkeeper.
Jacob has played for the Petersfield Hockey Club since he was in Year 4, and for the last two seasons he made the move to goalkeeper. This season, Petersfield nominated him to train with the Hampshire development coaches.
He said, “I’m really excited to be training with the best Under 13 goalkeepers in the county, and play my favourite game of ‘kill the keeper’ (not literally!). I absolutely love the sport, and hope to continue to play for years to come – and maybe fulfil my dream of playing for England one day!”
