Year 10 students Nina, Michael, Amy and Lulu supported a local community Platinum Jubilee event last Sunday.
The residents of Broadway Park estate on The Causeway gathered for a celebration, bringing the community together and our wonderful students took drinks orders, served teas and coffees, chatted to local residents, helped with the raffle, served food and provided musical entertainment.
Amy performed God Save The Queen on her cornet whilst the residents sang along, and Michael and Nina played pieces on violin and viola, ending with a medley of pieces playing as a trio with Head of Music, Miss Wood.
Miss Wood said, “ It was a very enjoyable event to be part of on a sunny afternoon, and the students were fantastic ambassadors for the school.”
Jackie Sollis of Broadway Park said, “A huge thank you to you and the students! You all worked so hard and their music was wonderful and helped create a fantastic atmosphere. We really couldn’t have managed without your help.”
