Our first live Open Mic Night of the year was an amazing event last night with performers from Years 7 to11 taking the stage and creating a wonderful sense of celebration.
The Year 7 performers were particularly impressive with their confidence and resilience, and were supported by the older performers in Years 10 and 11, doing a brilliant job as role models for the younger students.
As well as solo performances, it was fantastic to see bands from different year groups – we have a newly-formed Year 7 band who have been rehearsing at Rock Club, and our Year 8 band who performed Riptide superbly.
Our two Year 11 bands performed a range of songs and filled the Studio with joy and celebration with the final Christmas numbers – Step into Christmas and Merry Christmas Everyone.
