At TPS, we support diversity and inclusion as one of our core values of Respect. The month of June is a time to reflect on how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, but also contemplate on how we can continue to support each other and pave the way to a more just society. This week, in recognition of Pride Month, students raised the flag to fly alongside our TPS flag and House flag.
Year 10 student, Im B, said, “I am honoured to raise the TPS Pride flag in support of the LGBTQ+ community.”
Amy T added, “I am very proud that the school has shown support for the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month.”
Students at TPS also discussed these issues in their weekly assembly with Miss Davis, who told the story of where Pride comes from and considered how we could continue to support LGBTQ+ people.
