We are proud to announce that TPS is now an Eco Green Flag school!
Yesterday, members of the Eco Committee joined Mr Marande to raise the Green Flag – Year 8 students George H, Ellie B, Joe T, and Year 9 students Rahel-Sofia T, Megan K, Matilda K, Daisy L, Freya S and Amelie L.
During the past year, our inspiring Eco Committee have been working hard to fundraise for solar panels, embed sustainability into PSHE lessons, plant 350 trees, create two wonderful new wildflower areas, grow and harvest their own food, as well as representing young people in Government consultations and speaking up at the East Hants COP26 event.
In recognition we have just been awarded our first ever Green Flag award and are so proud! We look forward to working even harder this year on reducing our carbon and creating more wild spaces about the school and in the local community. Together we can be the change!
