This week saw the return of the big musical experience in the Studio – TPS@TheWest End!
For the first time since before lockdown, students from Years 7 to 11 took to the stage to perform numbers from some of our best loved shows – The Lion King (Year 7); Matilda (Year 8); The Greatest Showman (Year 9); Billy Elliott (Year 10) and Mamma Mia! (Year 11) – and they were accompanied by a fabulous student band.
Every show was sold out, and it was truly special to be back in the theatre. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Performing Arts team – Lucy Reah, Stephanie Plunkett, Amanda Jones, Samantha Wood, Natalie Voller, and Sean Ridley and his technical team, our students sang, danced and performed brilliantly!
For the Year 11 students, it was a bitter-sweet moment as it was their very last performance before they start preparing for their GCSEs, but it was exciting to see such talent emerging from the younger students, for whom they have been great role models.
