Governors

Each Bohunt school has a local governing board which reports directly to the Bohunt trust board on a regular basis. Governors carry out key functions in supporting schools, working closely with headteachers to:

  • Guide the implementation of Bohunt Education Trust’s overarching strategy and priorities specifically within the context of each school
  • Represent and promote the school in its local community
  • Promotes the delivery and implementation of the trust’s vision and ethos to the school community
  • Provides proactive support and challenge to the headteacher including with respect to educational performance
  • Advises the BET Board about local issues (whether within school or the wider community) that may affect the school.

The local governing board offers strategic support and guidance to school leaders enabling young people to fulfil their potential and achieve their aspirations. They consistently challenge processes and drive continuous school improvement having a significant role in the long-term development and improvement of the school and provide strong links with the wider community.

If you would like to contact the Local Governing Board, or are interested in being a governor at a BET school, please email the Trust Governance Lead at staylor1@bohunt.hants.sch.uk

TPS always felt like a safe place to express myself and my hobbies without a fear of being told I wasn’t cool for playing with toys. Many teachers encouraged me to utilise LEGO in my work in Art, DT, even Maths and Geography!

I started dancing at 3 and more seriously from the age of 12.
