Maths revision is as simple as 123, but you won’t learn by simply staring at a list of keywords or equations. Try to revise in fixed 40-minute sessions then take a short break. You must identify your own areas to improve, watch a video to show you how, and then practice answering questions. Please follow these steps in order:

1. First: do some past papers. There are two excellent websites.
   • Try following this link and completing a past paper. You’ll need to scroll down for the Higher Tier papers. Then marking your own work with the model answers or watch worked-solution videos. The ones you struggled with are your new Red topics to revise:
     • Maths Genie Papers
   • Maths Genie is great when you want to find exam-style questions on a given topic to practice with. Find your target grade and practice on the topics listed from your Red list:
     • Maths Genie • Learn GCSE Maths for Free
2. Follow this link  RAG with Sparx codes for independent learning to the spreadsheet of all topics. Print off a copy and “RAG” it. This means work through your list and tick:
   • Red (high priority for revision because you don’t really get it yet)
   • Amber (medium priority)
   • Green (low priority because it’s pretty clear to you).
3. For all the Reds, go to Sparx > Independent Learning > find “Search for Topics” and type in the code for that topic.

• For example, if want to learn about finding error intervals for calculations, the spreadsheet tells you its code is U587. Type “U587” in that box.
• Watch the video and answer all questions.
• Work through all your Reds, then Ambers, then Greens.
